Just recently, my family and I traveled along the Fjord to attend a sacral function at King Gorm's estate. King Gorm rules the area surrounding our farm and he holds reigious gatherings on his land. My father has our family follow the Pagan religion, so we got dressed up with various jewelries to commemorate the gods Odin, Thor, and Frey. At the ceremony I had to help with carrying out animal sacrifices to the gods. At the ceremony, there were also various men from the area who are exceptional smiths. They lit fires and molded silvers into various plates and such to carve the traditional gripping beasts into them for the rituals. They also carved entwined, ribbon-bodied animals around the gripping beasts.
We also just recently layed a rune stone to honor my father's younger brother who died from illness. My father had the stone carved and set by the road which wraps around the Nissum Fjord. The stone he had set read:
Jofurr raised this stone in memory of Harald. A great memorial to a good man. The best brother to Jofurr and devoted husband of Gyda. Harald's land will be inherited by his only son Gudrik.
